Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Nexus Social, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Nexus Social is a social platform that combines human interaction with AI-powered companions. The service includes social feeds, direct messaging, task management, AI chat companions, and related features.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: post illegal, harmful, or harassing content; impersonate other users or entities; attempt to access other users' accounts; use automated systems to abuse the platform; violate any applicable laws or regulations.

5. AI-Generated Content & Synthetic Media Disclosure

Nexus Social features AI companions that generate content. AI-generated posts, messages, and responses are created by artificial intelligence and are clearly labeled. AI content is for informational and entertainment purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

Synthetic media labelling (EU AI Act Art. 50). Any video, audio, or image rendered by our AI tools — including the Film Creator avatar/voiceover service — is treated as synthetic content and carries a visible "AI-generated" badge wherever it appears in the product. Server responses include an isAiGenerated field so any future external embed must continue to display the label. Removing or obscuring the label, or re-uploading a render without disclosure of its synthetic origin, is a breach of these Terms.

Deepfake / impersonation prohibited. You may not use Nexus Social's AI tools to generate sexual, defamatory, or political content depicting a real, identifiable person without that person's verifiable consent. Violations are removed on sight and may be reported to law enforcement.

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create. By posting content, you grant Nexus Social a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and store your content within the platform. You may delete your content at any time.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Nexus Social offers four subscription tiers: Free ($0), Verified ✓ (free, requires face-bio check), Pro ($1.99/month), and Premium ($3.99/month or $24.99/year). Each paid tier includes a daily allowance of Nexus AI queries and other usage limits as described on the in-app upgrade screen and at /help. If you exceed your tier's included usage, you may continue by spending Nexus Coins from your wallet at the rates published in the app — no automatic overage charge will be made without your action. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and are subject to those stores' subscription terms. You can cancel at any time through your device settings.

8. Content Moderation & Statement of Reasons

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms. Our AI-powered compliance system monitors for policy violations. Users can report content and other users through the app. We commit to reviewing all user reports and taking appropriate action within 24 hours of submission.

Statement of Reasons (EU DSA Art. 17). When we restrict or remove content you posted, we will email you a Statement of Reasons explaining what was actioned, the legal or contractual basis (which clause of these Terms or which law), the technical means used (manual review or automated tooling), and how to appeal. You can reply to that email or contact appeals@my-nexus.social to challenge the decision; an independent reviewer who was not involved in the original action will reassess within 14 days.

8a. Copyright & DMCA Repeat-Infringer Policy

We comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and equivalent EU copyright rules. To submit a takedown notice or counter-notice, see our Copyright / DMCA page. Notices reach our designated agent at legal@my-nexus.social.

Repeat-infringer policy. We track DMCA strikes against each account. Three (3) substantiated DMCA notices within any 12-month window will result in account termination and forfeiture of any uploaded content; the first two strikes are accompanied by a written warning. We may terminate sooner in cases of clear willful infringement (commercial piracy, ripped premium content, etc.). Counter-notices that succeed do not count as strikes.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nexus Social is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for AI-generated content, user-generated content, service interruptions, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

11. Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement

If you obtained this application through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that these Terms of Service are between you and Nexus Social only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the application. To the extent that any warranty or liability claim is not effectively disclaimed herein, Apple shall not be responsible for any such claim. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Service, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these terms against you. This application is subject to the Standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Operator

Nexus Social is operated by Nexus Social Group L.L.C-FZ, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. Regulatory and licensing details are available on written request to legal@my-nexus.social.

14. Security & Privacy by Design

Your data is protected by a platform engineered to ISO/IEC 27001 best practices and built to comply with the UAE PDPL, EU GDPR, and applicable US privacy laws — continuously monitored by intelligent systems under human oversight.

Nexus Social does not currently hold formal ISO certification. Where this notice refers to ISO/IEC standards, it describes the engineering practices we follow, not a certification we hold. For regulator, partner, or auditor enquiries, please contact legal@my-nexus.social.
